Seascapes & Water Themes |
I am a Pisces, so it is probably not too much of a stretch that I love the Ocean. I am drawn to it like a lot of people, but for me trying to capture its majesty on canvas is a labor of love. Its power, movement and transparency not only gives the artist obvious technical challenges, but stirs the energy inside you. Who doesn't love looking at the Sea?

Moonlight Frolic I am naturally drawn to the sea; its constant motion and vastness makes it one of the most difficult subjects to paint. The seascape, Moonlight Frolic, was painted from my imagination to represent all creatures that love to swim and play in the ocean. I made it especially challenging for myself by painting it at night, but I thought the contrast of the dark sky and moonlight would make it more dramatic!

I find deep inspiration from nautical themes. (Actually, I just like mermaids, dolphins, and ships, so I paint 'em often.)
