The Sambataro Gallery:
 Abstract Art

  Abstract Art

Many people think abstract art is easy to paint, but in most cases it is much harder because you have no defined image to work from or see; you are creating a look or feeling by using only line, color, texture and sometimes elements from your imagination. Not all abstracts are good because they are not always well imagined or executed. If you don't generally care for abstracts, I can understand, but just realize the purpose was not to show an image - it was to capture an expression.

Color In Motion No. 4
This abstract, Color in Motion, was inspired by my work with stained glass and other stain-glass artists. The style allows the artist to experiment with color and motion while composing a striking and bold composition. It's one of my favorite pieces.

Abstract art is much harder to paint than most people think. It not only requires a sense of design, but great imagination when using texture and color.
