Contempo |
Creating contempo paintings is like letting your inner spirit escape. It allows you to paint a subject with the idea of not just capturing its image but having fun with all the things you can do by exaggerating colors, lines and shapes. You never know what the final result will look like, but that's what makes it so cool.

Windy Sails Windy Sails, a contempo style painting was an experiment in color, brush strokes, and heavy lines. My goal was to capture the wind driven movement of the sail boat in almost a 'time stop sequence,' hoping to capture the feeling of moving through the water on air.

These whimsical subjects are not only fun to paint, but capture the "free spirit" in us all. It's nice to loosen up sometimes!
